Taste the Mediterranean Magic β¨

Hello my friend!
The weather here has been balmy - blue skies, sunshine, a light breeze... Perfect Summer weather! I always imagine this must be what's it's like to live in some Mediterranean paradise. My family has been eating dinner on the patio every evening, which feels very much like a holiday in our own back garden. Long may it continue!
Not content with having the best climate, those Mediterraneans also, apparently, have one of the best diets, too! The Mediterranean diet has long been hailed for its many potential benefits, including heart health and overall well-being. It places the emphasis on fresh, plant-based foods, whole grains, pulses, and healthy fats like olive oil. Fish, poultry, and dairy products are eaten in moderation.
This is the kind of 'healthy eating' I can really get behind! Bright colourful veggie dishes, good olive oil soaked up with tasty wholegrain sourdough bread, humous, ripe fruits... and all washed down with a glass of wine! π· L'chaim!
So, while the weather is giving Mediterranean vibes, what better time to embrace the Mediterranean diet?! Below are some of my favourite recipes that herald from the region, or are inspired by this way of eating. I hope you'll enjoy them too!

Which means that this is the latest that Shabbat gets - from next week, it starts to get earlier again. We are truly in the 'height' of Summer! So let's enjoy it!
Here's wishing you a wonderful Summery Shabbat. Shabbat Shalom - Good Shabbos! - to everyone. May Shabbat and the week ahead bring us only good news, peace, and many blessings.
With love, Helen x.
